What is Findchips Pro?

Findchips Pro is a sourcing power tool. It enables you to:

Quick Start

The magic of Findchips Pro begins when you add several parts to your list or upload a Bill of Materials (BOM). By default, you'll start off with a default list you can either add to manually or by uploading a BOM.

Use Our Sample List

Don't already have a BOM handy? Here's a sample list of components you can upload to see how Findchips Pro works.

Get Sample List

Once you've downloaded the sample list (BOM), click Upload BOM on the homepage and follow the tutorial video below. You'll be able to choose a name for your list, confirm that the columns are correct, and choose quantity and distributor preferences.

Once you've uploaded your BOM, you'll be taken to the List page.

Below is an overview of the main Findchips Pro List page. Hover over the orange hotspots for additional information.

How-to Guide

Create Lists / Upload Files

You can create new lists:

  • From the home page, underneath the search bar.
  • From the List dropdown in the top menu.
  • From any list dashboard, in the top right corner.

Add Parts to A List

From an external source

From the home page, underneath the search bar, paste a selection from a spreadsheet or upload a file from your device.

From a search result page

When searching for parts using the Findchips search, simply click on the star icon to add a part to your default list

To select the list to which you'd like to add the part, or to Create New List for that part, click on the list icon.

XRef & Component Suggestions

Misspelled or incomplete CPNs? Findchips Pro will automatically suggest the parts you’re looking for and give you the capacity to immediately identify several alternative parts that match the necessary Form, Fit and Function.

You can switch between the Did you mean? tab, which contains part number corrections/suggestions, and the Xref tab, which provides you with a list of alternative parts that match the Form, Fit, and Function of the original part.

Managing Supplier Preferences

From the top menu, click on Preferences from the Your Account dropdown. From there, select which suppliers to include in your searches. This will be applied to all of your Findchips searches. You can also set specific preferences for each of your lists.
